How to Buy Videos From the iTunes Store

iTunes is a complex music/video/podcast library that allows you to store and find all of your media files. iTunes also has a music store, where people with a registered iTunes account can purchase videos, TV shows, podcasts and music for a cheaper price than most commercial stores. To buy videos from the iTunes Store, follow these steps:

  • Computer
  • iTunes account
  1. Step 1

    Load iTunes on your computer. Close out any other applications that could keep your iTunes from running smoothly.

  2. Step 2

    Sign in or create your iTunes account. Once you have done so, a page will appear to walk you through purchasing the video with your credit card or iTunes gift card.

  3. Step 3

    Locate the Store section of your iTunes on the left side panel of the program. Below the heading should read “iTunes Store”. Click this heading.

  4. Step 4

    Wait for the iTunes Store to load. At the top of the program, iTunes will display “Accessing Music Store” in its message box.

  5. Step 5

    Search through the iTunes Store for the videos you wish to purchase. Select the video by right-clicking on it.

  6. Step 6

    View the page of information about the video that you want to purchase. Click the Buy Movie button, which is located right next to the title of the movie.

Tips & Warnings
  • You must have an iTunes account to purchase anything from the iTunes Store.
  • The only form of payment for iTunes is through the Internet. You may not send cash or a check as payment.
