The whole point of having a telescope is to be able to view distant objects--clearly. If you don't adjust the focus, however, you'd do just as well squinting.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sky-Watcher SK MAK series telescope
  1. Step 1

Select the object you wish to view and position the telescope.

  2. Step 2

Rotate the knobs located under the focuser until the image is sharp.

  3. Step 3

Repeat the above step whenever you change the lens or target a new object.

Tips & Warnings
  • You might have to adjust the image slightly as time passes. Even minute changes in the temperature and flexures can alter the focus.
  • Never use your telescope to look directly at the sun. It can damage your eyes or even blind you.
