Wasp stings can quickly ruin a fun outdoor activity. However, you can effectively treat a wasp sting and resume play. If you are allergic to wasp stings, however, be sure to skip this procedure and immediately seek medical attention.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Benadryl
  • Calamine lotion
  • Alcohol or peroxide
  1. Step 1

    As soon as the wasp stings, check the area for the stinger. If you wait, the wound may become inflamed and you will not be able to find the stinger.

  2. Step 2

    Use alcohol or peroxide to clean the wound.

  3. Step 3

    Apply ice to reduce swelling at the sting site.

  4. Step 4

    To relieve discomfort, apply baking soda and water mixed together or meat tenderizer to the site.

  5. Step 5

    If you experience respiratory problems, feel nauseated, or break out in a rash or hives, seek professional medical assistance immediately. You may be suffering from an allergic reaction.

  6. Step 6

    The bee sting will itch when it starts healing. Use calamine lotion or Benadryl to provide relief.
