How to Adjust the 3D Sound on the iRiver iFP-700 Series Audio Player/Recorder/FM Tuner

You can adjust the Xtreme 3D sound in the iRiver iFP 700 series to achieve virtual "surround sound" effects. Here's how.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iRiver IFP-700 Series audio player/recorder/FM tuner
  1. Step 1

    Press the "Navi/Menu" button on the unit and hold it until the main menu appears.

  2. Step 2

    Use the fast forward arrow button to select the Sound menu. Press "Navi/Menu" to open the menu.

  3. Step 3

    Select "Xtreme 3D."

  4. Step 4

    Use the volume buttons ("+" and "-") or the fast-forward/fast-reverse arrow buttons to adjust the level of the 3D sound. You can choose "minimum," "natural" or "maximum" on the screen.

  5. Step 5

    Use the "Navi/Menu" button to select "DBE" (Dynamic Bass Enhancement) to turn on the bass boost, or "3D EQ" for equalization.

  6. Step 6

    Press "Play/Stop" to exit the menu and save your settings.

Tips & Warnings
  • To adjust the DBE and 3D EQ levels, select "DBE Settings" or "3D EQ Settings" from the Sound menu.
  • Press the "EQ/Memory" button during playback to select Xtreme 3D EQ mode.
  • Some sound settings can cause distortion.
