How to Adjust the LCD Contrast on the iRiver iFP 700 Audio Player/Recorder/FM Tuner

In low light or sunlight, you may find it difficult to read the LCD screen on the iRiver iFP 700 series. You can adjust the LCD contrast on the iRiver iFP 700 series audio player/recorder/FM tuner by following these steps.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iRiver ifp 700 series audio player/recorder/fm tuner
  1. Step 1

    Press and hold the Navi/Menu button in the center of the player. This will bring up the menu system.

  2. Step 2

    Select the "Display" menu. Use the fast-forward and rewind buttons to scroll through the menus.

  3. Step 3

    Select the "LCD Contrast" option. Use the volume buttons to navigate through the submenu. Select the function with the Navi/Menu button.

  4. Step 4

    Adjust the LCD settings. Use the fast-forward and rewind buttons to adjust the LCD contrast. Moving the slider to the right increases contrast and moving it to the left decreases contrast.

  5. Step 5

    Press "Play" to exit the menu. Or hold the Navi/Menu button again.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you make a mistake, restore the factory defaults by selecting "Load Defaults" under the General menu.
  • If you are still experiencing difficulty reading the screen, try adjusting the back-light settings.
  • If you've recently updated your firmware, these steps may not apply.
