Things You’ll Need:
- Computer
- iPod
- Apple iTunes
Step1
Connect your iPod to the computer that contains the library. Close iTunes if it is open.
Step2
Bring up the iPod icon on your screen from the desktop or from "My Computer."
Step3
Find the iTunes folder icon by going to "Users > username > Music" (Mac) or "Windows > Documents and Settings > username > My Documents > My Music" (Windows).
Step4
Use your mouse to drag your iTunes folder to the iPod icon. The file transfer may take a few moments.
Step5
Open iTunes. Select "iPod" in the "Source" window.
Step6
Click "Eject" in the lower right corner of the iTunes window.
Step7
Unplug your iPod from the computer after the "Do Not Disconnect" message disappears.
Step8
Open iTunes on the second computer.
Step9
Plug your iPod into this computer.
Step10
Open the "Music" or "My Music" folder on the second computer. Find the "iTunes" folder and drag it onto the desktop.
Step11
Find the iPod icon on the desktop or in "My Computer" on the second computer. Double click the icon.
Step12
Drag the "iTunes" folder from the iPod to the "Music" or "My Music" folder.
Step13
Open iTunes and check that your library is now on the second computer.
