How to Change the Play Mode Settings on Your Archos 104 MP3 Player

The Archos 104 MP3 player lets you play songs at random or listen to selected. Follow the instructions below to change these settings on your Archos 104.

Things You'll Need:

  • Archos 104 MP3 player
  1. Step 1

    Turn on your MP3 player and highlight the "Setup" icon on the main menu using the keypad. Press the "Enter" button to enter the Setup menu.

  2. Step 2

    Highlight the "PlayMode" icon in the Setup menu and press the "Enter" button.

  3. Step 3

    Select "Folder" to play the songs in a particular folder that you have created.

  4. Step 4

    Select "All" to play all of the songs that you've loaded on your MP3 player.

  5. Step 5

    Select "Single" to play a single track. Playback will stop when the track finishes.

  6. Step 6

    Select "Queue" to choose the next song you want played.

  7. Step 7

    Select "Scan" to play the first 15 seconds of each song on your player.

  8. Step 8

    Scroll down to the "Repeat" and "Shuffle" options. Select "Repeat" to continuously play a song. Select "Shuffle" to mix up the order of your songs. Select "Normal" to play the songs as they are listed on your MP3 player.

Tips & Warnings
  • Leave the "ArcLibrary" setting on "Automatic" so your computer's media player can automatically add downloaded songs to your Archos 104.
  • While playing a song using Queue mode, select "Menu" and "Browse" to choose the next song you want to play.
