1. If you have a modern or streamlined look to your room, consider a sleek rod with a simple end cap or even one that fits entirely behind the drape.
2. For a dramatic touch in a more traditional style-room, use a heavier wood or iron rod with a sculpted finial.
3. Since end caps come in all shapes and sizes, try and find one that picks up a pattern or style from your room--for example, a swirl that resembles one from a pillow or rug, or a shepherd’s hook for a Spanish-style bungalow.
