    • Suspend SC or other insecticide
    • Drione Dust
      • 1

Find the primary source of the moths. Some likely hiding spots include under furniture that has not been moved in a while, in corners and behind baseboards.

      • 2

Vacuum the source of the infestation.

      • 3

Remove and dispose of the vacuum bag.

      • 4

Clean or throw away any fabric that has been infested.

      • 5

Seal any infested fabric ornaments or toys in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer for one week.

      • 6

Brush, sun and clean all fabrics before storing them. Then place them in storage closets or chests that are tightly sealed.

      • 7

Use a chemical treatment, but only after you have thoroughly cleaned the infested area.

      • 8

Use an insecticide such as Suspend SC to treat areas where you suspect moth larvae will appear.

      • 9

Use a dust such as Drione Dust on areas unreachable by pesticide spray. This dust can be applied where the wall meets the floor, where the carpet meets the wall, in carpet seams, behind baseboards, in chair and couch cushions and under furniture.
