How to Store Data Files on Your Creative Zen MP3 Player

Some people have problems filling up the larger-capacity Creative Zen players with media. You can use this extra space to back up files or store data from your home computer. It only takes a few minutes to configure your settings to store data files on your Creative Zen MP3 Player.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Creative Zen MP3 Player
  1. Step 1

    Navigate to the Main Menu of your Creative Zen MP3 Player. This should automatically show up when you first turn on your device.

  2. Step 2

    Select the "Extras" options from the Main Menu, using the navigation arrows and "OK" button.

  3. Step 3

    Select the "Removable Disk" option to change your Creative Zen Player into a data-file storage device. When Removable Disk appears on your Creative Zen’s screen, it is ready for storing data files.

  4. Step 4

    Connect your Creative Zen Player to your computer using the provided cables or connection devices.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you’re using this feature for the first time, you’ll be asked how much of the Creative Zen’s hard disk you want to designate for data storage.
