How to Create an RSS Feed for Your Blogger Posts

Bloggers default feed is ATOM based. Many of the readers today wish to have an RSS feed instead of the ATOM format. To create and RSS feed for your Blogger posts you will need to follow several simple steps to make your posts do this automatically.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open your Internet browser.

  2. Step 2

    Log in to your Blogger account.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "Template" link in the middle of the screen.

  4. Step 4

    Click on the "Edit HTML" tab.

  5. Step 5

    Search for .

  6. Step 6

    Now find the tag.

  7. Step 7

    Inside of this, place the following:

    <$BlogItemFeedLinks$>?alt=rss

  8. Step 8

    Click on "Save Settings."

Tips & Warnings
  • You will now have feed links on all of your archive pages. To find them, simply look at the bottom of your first post.
  • Editing your HTML can be very tricky. The default feed for Blogger is ATOM. Make sure to save a copy of your HTML before you start editing it.

on 10/11/2009 Step 5 seems to have gotten chopped off somehow. It reads, "Search for ." but it doesn't actually say what we're searching for! :-)
