How to Eliminate Crickets

Crickets can be found in many locations in your home. Attics, kitchens, fireplaces, baseboards and basements are just some of the many locations crickets like to hide. In addition to making a lot of noise, crickets can also be destructive to materials like wool and silk.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Crusader Duster
  • Baygone Bait
  • Maxforce FG Granular Bait
  • Permethrin Pro
  1. Step 1

    Determine the location of the crickets if possible.

  2. Step 2

    Use an odorless insecticide on the hiding places, such as Permethrin Pro.

  3. Step 3

    Be sure to use the spray outside and inside.

  4. Step 4

    On the outside of the home, spray vents, windows, doors, plumbing lines and any other entry points.

  5. Step 5

    Also, spray all the way around your home from 3 feet high, down to the ground, and then 6feet out onto the ground.

  6. Step 6

    If you find you have crickets inside your home in the attic, basement, or in cracks and crevices, you can use a bait such as Baygone Bait for large jobs or Maxforce FG Granular Bait for smaller jobs.

  7. Step 7

    When using a bait, it's helpful to apply a product such as Crusader Duster.
