How to Select the TV Screen Type on a Panasonic DVD-LV57 Portable DVD Player

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Use the remote’s "Power" button or the unit’s controls to turn on the DVD player.

  2. Step 2

    Make sure that you have followed the instruction manual’s guide on hooking the player up to your television and then turn on your TV.

  3. Step 3

    Press the "Action" button to reveal the main menu from which you can change all of your defaults.

  4. Step 4

    Select the "Video" tab from this menu using the navigational tool.

  5. Step 5

    Use the arrows again to move the cursor to "TV Aspect." Then hit the "Enter" button.

  6. Step 6

    Select either the 4:3 Letterbox, the 4:3 Pan & Scan or the 16:9 wide screen setting by moving your cursor over to your preferred setting and pressing "Enter" again.

Tips & Warnings
  • The factory preset on the Panasonic DVD-LV57 Portable DVD Player is the 16:9 wide screen setting.
  • If the DVD you’re playing does not support the "Pan and Scan" process, then the Panasonic DVD-LV57 Portable DVD Player will automatically play the disc in 4:3 Letterbox.
