1. Use the remote’s "Power" button or the unit’s controls to turn on the DVD player.

2. Make sure that you have followed the instruction manual’s guide on hooking the player up to your television and then turn on your TV.

3. Press the "Action" button to reveal the main menu from which you can change all of your defaults.

4. Select the "Video" tab from this menu using the navigational tool.

5. Use the arrows again to move the cursor to "TV Aspect." Then hit the "Enter" button.

6. Select either the 4:3 Letterbox, the 4:3 Pan & Scan or the 16:9 wide screen setting by moving your cursor over to your preferred setting and pressing "Enter" again.
