How to Connect the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player to a TV
You connect the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player to a TV so that you can hear your CD or DVD through the television speakers. Set your Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player in a convenient location near your television. If you have the supplied audio/video/S-link connecting cord, make sure that the cord can easily connect your TV and the CD/DVD player.

Look at the back of your DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player. Find the "Audio Out" section in the bottom left-hand corner of the back panel. The "Audio Out" jacks are color-coded red and white, and there are two sets of these jacks.

Take your audio/video/S-link connecting cord and insert the red color-coded plug into the red "Audio Out" jack. Next, connect the white color-coded plug into the white jack.

Find the "Video Out" section of the back panel. There are two output jacks, color-coded yellow. Insert the yellow video plug of your audio/video/S-link cable into the yellow color-coded jack.

Go to the back of your television. Find the input and output panel. Connect the red and white audio plugs to the appropriate color-coded audio input jacks.

Insert the yellow video plug into the yellow color-coded video input jack. If your television has S-video capability, use an S-video cable to hook up the video for your television instead.

Turn on the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player and your television. Insert a CD or DVD and check your connections.

Tips & Warnings
On the back panel of the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player, there are two channels for audio out and video out. Make sure that you are using the same channel to hook up the audio and video.
Check the back panel of your television for an S-link input jack. S-link allows you to control the DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player through your television. Use the S-link plug of the audio/video/S-link cord to hook up the player to the television.
Do not use both an S-video cable and a standard composite video cable to hook up the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD player to your television.
