How to Attach the Sky-Watcher SK1025AZ3 Short Tube Refractor Telescope to the Mount

The Sky-Watcher SK1025AZ3 is a 102 mm telescope that allows you to get a better view of distant objects. It is a portable multi-coated achromatic refractor telescope with a tube dimension of 12 by 50 cm. It has an altitude (up and down) and azimuth (left and right) mount that controls its movement. To Attach SK1025AZ3 With a Multi-Functional Plate

1. Find the thumb nuts and hinges of the multi-functional plate.
2. Detach the tube rings-multi-function plate assembly from the telescope by releasing the nuts from the hinges.
3. Find the black wheel directly underneath the mounting platform on the Alt-Az mount.
4. Turn the wheel while holding the tube rings firmly in place. Remember that the tube rings will hold the telescope in place.
5. Attach the telescope tube to the tube rings. To do so, place the telescope tube in between the two tube rings.
6. Close the hinges around the telescope. Secure the telescope by tightening the thumb nuts.

To Attach SK1025AZ3 Without a Multi-Functional Plate

7. Remove the tube rings from the telescope. To do so release the thumb nuts and hinges attached to it.
8. Fasten the tube rings to the mount by tightening its wrench around the mount.
9. Attach the main tube of the telescope with the tube rings. To do this, locate the center of balance of the telescope tube. Ensure that it is between the two tube rings.
10. Close the wrench around the telescope and fasten securely by tightening the thumb nuts.
