When You Have a Multi-Function Plate
Step1
Remove the tube rings-multi-function plate assembly from the telescope.
Step2
Begin by releasing the thumb nuts.
Step3
Open the hinges by using one of the three-threaded holes in the multi-function plate assembly.
Step4
Turn the knurled black wheel directly underneath the mounting platform on the Alt-Az mount.
Step5
Hold the tube rings in place while doing so to secure the telescope in place.
Step6
Proceed to attach the telescope main tube to the tube rings. Begin by removing the telescope tube from the paper covering.
Step7
Place telescope tube in between the two tube rings.
Step8
Close the hinges around the telescope and fasten securely by tightening the thumb nuts without over-tightening.
If You Do Not Have a Multi-Function Plate
Step1
Remove the tube rings-multi-function plate assembly from the telescope.
Step2
Begin by releasing the thumb nuts. Open the hinges.
Step3
Use the wrench provided in the toolkit to fasten the tube rings to the mount.
Step4
Proceed to attach the main tube of the telescope with the tube rings. Begin by locating the center of balance of the telescope tube. Place it in between the two tube rings.
Step5
Close the hinges around the telescope and fasten securely by tightening the thumb nuts.
