Step1
You must first do the "Easy Align" procedure: Press the "Sun Warning" key prompted by Autostar to accept.
Step2
Select "Enter" to continue.
Step3
Enter in the current date. Press "Enter."
Step4
Enter in the current time, including AM or PM and press "Enter."
Step5
Select "Yes" or "No" for daylight savings time.
Step6
When the Alignment Option displays “Setup: Align,” press enter.
Step7
Select “Align: Easy.” Press "Enter."

Scroll to “Align: Two Star.” Press "Enter."
Step9
Place the telescope in the home position as follows: Loosen the "Dec" lock on the telescope. Afterward, level the tripod head and the optical tube by lining up 0° on the Dec setting circle with the Dec pointer. Tighten the Dec lock so that if feels firm. Unlock the "R.A." lock and turn the telescope horizontally so that it points North. Re-lock the R.A. and press "Enter."
Step10
Once you have done this you will see “Select Star” and the Autostar will display its database of stars that you can choose from. Choose a star on the list that you would like to align. Choose a star that you can easily locate and press "Enter."
Step11
The telescope will move to the star you selected. By using the arrow keys you can center the star in the eyepiece. Press "Enter."
Step12
For the second alignment star repeat the same procedure. Your telescope is now aligned and you can use the Autostar’s "Go To" capabilities.
