Step1
Determine what your security needs are and how video security cameras would help.

Determine the right placement for security cameras. Aim them at doors or windows outside of your home and at your electronics and other valuables inside the home.

Make sure that the camera footage is monitored either by you or by a security company. It's important that the police are contacted when anything out of the ordinary is taking place. Make sure that the footage that is captured with the video cameras is recorded either by you or by a security company.
Step4
Be sure that your outdoor cameras are visible but out of reach.
Step5
Place signs that let people know that you use video surveillance.
