How to Clean the Eyepiece of the ATN Night Storm Night Vision Monocular

There are several versions of Night Storm Night Vision Monocular offered by ATN. Refer to your user manual for specific concerns pertaining to your version. You will need to clean the eyepiece of your ATN Night Storm Night Vision Monocular to ensure optimum performance. When you first start using your device, ensure that the eyepiece is clean and is not dusty. Cleaning up your ATN Night Storm Night Vision Monocular is not difficult at all. Here's how to do it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photographic lens cleaning tissue
  • ATN Night Storm Night Vision Monocular
  • Can of compressed air
  • Screwdriver
  1. Step 1

    Loosen the two set of screws that are located on the base of the eyepiece.

  2. Step 2

    Rotate the eyepiece counterclockwise to unscrew it.

  3. Step 3

    Remove the loosened eyepiece carefully.

  4. Step 4

    Use a Photographic lens cleaning tissue on the lens surface to clean it. Be careful not to scratch or smudge the surface.

  5. Step 5

    Blow the dust on the surface of the lens by using compressed air. Ensure that you do not invert the can containing compressed air as it may cause the frozen propellant to exit and harm the glass and phosphor screen.

  6. Step 6

    Replace the eyepiece back in the unit after the cleanup.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not remove the screws completely as they are very small and you may lose them.
