Step2
Access the back panels of both the Sony DVP-C660 CD/DVD player and your TV. First, turn examine the input jacks on the back of your television, and find out if your TV supports stereo sound and what kind of video connections are possible with your TV.

Step3
Get a two-channel audio cable if your television supports stereo sound. Make the connection between the left and right outputs on the Sony DVP-C660 CD/DVD player to the left and right audio inputs on your TV.
Step4
Use a component video cable to achieve the best quality picture from a DVD source. When your TV supports this, hook the red, blue and green connectors on one end of the component video cable to the Pr/R-Y, Pb/B-Y and Y Component Video Out jacks on the Sony player and plug the connectors on the other end of the cable to the appropriate component video inputs on the television.
Step5
Get an S-video cable if your television has an S-video input. Plug one end of the S-video cable to the S-video Out jack on the Sony DVP-C660 CD/DVD player and insert the other end in the S-video input jack on your TV.
Step6
Use a composite video cable if your TV does not support either S-video or component video. Connect one end of the composite video cable to a Video Out jack on the Sony DVP-C660 CD/DVD player and connect the other end to the video input jack on your television.
Step7
Turn on the television and your Sony DVP-C660 CD/DVD player. Place a DVD in the player and hit Play to check your connections.
