How to Activate SoundTracker on the Cobra 25-WXNWST CB Radio

Cobra introduces the 25-WXNWST CB radio, which has features that improve the transmission and the reception of citizens band signals.SoundTracker reduces noise while leaving the signal intact in the reception mode.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cobra 25-WXNWST CB radio
  1. Step 1

    Attach the antenna to the unit by rotating it clockwise

  2. Step 2

    Turn on your Cobra 25-WXNWST CB radio by rotating the Power Off/On switch clockwise.

  3. Step 3

    Attach the microphone on the front panel.

  4. Step 4

    Set the PA/CB in CB position.

  5. Step 5

    Turn the Squelch control counterclockwise to allow the signal to come in.

  6. Step 6

    Rotate the Volume Control to set the volume to a comfortable listening level.

  7. Step 7

    Depress the ST (SoundTracker) button to engage the SoundTracker system in your CB. A red light will illuminate when the SoundTracker system is engaged.

  8. Step 8

    Turn the Squelch control clockwise untill the background noise disappears.

Tips & Warnings
  • In the reception mode, SoundTracker cuts the noise coming in by approximately 90%.
  • In the transmission mode, SoundTracker stregthens the signals, which improves the clarity of transmission.
  • Make sure that the antenna, microphone and the power cord are properly connected to the unit.
  • The controll should not be advanced too far as some of the weaker signals may not be heard.
