The Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD player contains a Shuffle Play mode, which allows you to hear and view CDs and DVDs in a random order. Media is sorted by chapter, title or track, and then played at random. Here’s how to use the Shuffle Play mode of the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD Player.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Turn on the Sony DVP-C670D CD/DVD player and the connected television monitor. Using the television is essential because the display menu will be featured on the screen. Locate the remote, and place a disc in the device.

  2. Step 2

Use the remote to get to the Shuffle menu. Press the “Display” button, and then select the Shuffle option by scrolling with the arrows located on the remote control.

  3. Step 3

Review the different shuffle modes, and decide which one will best suit your media. For video, selecting “Disc” will shuffle all the discs currently inserted in the machine, and will play them at random. “Chapter” will randomize them by chapter, while “Title” will create a random playlist by the title. For audio, “Disc” will shuffle and play randomly all the discs in the device, while “Track” will randomly select and play the audio tracks on a single disc.

  4. Step 4

Use the arrows on the remote to highlight the correct selection, and then press "Enter." The new selection will be underlined on the screen.

  5. Step 5

Get out of the Shuffle menu by pressing the “Display” button once. Press it again to get rid of the general “Display” menu.

  6. Step 6

End Shuffle mode by pressing “Clear” on the remote, or by flowing steps two through four and then selecting “Off” rather than “Disc,” “Title” or “Chapter.”

Tips & Warnings
  • When you use the Shuffle feature for a second time with the same disc, a different order will be created.
  • Certain features, such as Repeat, may or may not work with the options selected. Refer to the Operating Instructions for more information.
  • Certain discs do not allow the shuffle feature to be used. Check with the manufacturer of the disc, as it is usually not a problem with the DVD player.
