How to Connect the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player to 5.1 Channel Surround Amplifier
Most DVDs offer the ability to use the Dolby Digital Surround Sound to allow for greater audio quality while viewing your DVD. Before you can play a DVD in Dolby Digital, you must first connect the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player to a 5.1 channel surround amplifier.

Connecting the Channel Surround Amplifier

Locate the 5.1 channel output on the back of the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player and the 5.1 channel input on the back of the 5.1 channel surround amplifier.

Ensure the power to the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player and the 5.1 channel surround amplifier is turned off.

Connect a double-ended audio cable from the Front connectors on the Sony DVP-C675CD/DVD Player to the 5.1 channel surround amplifier. Connect the left (L) jacks using the white audio connector cable and the right (R) jacks using the red audio connector cable.

Connect a double-ended audio cable from the Rear connectors on the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player to the 5.1 channel surround amplifier. Follow the procedures in Step 2 for proper connection.

Connect a single-ended, monaural audio cable from the Center output on the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player to the center input on the 5.1 channel surround amplifier.

Connect a single-ended monaural audio cable from the Woofer output on the Sony DVP-C675D CD/DVD Player to the woofer input on the 5.1 channel surround amplifier.

Connect the S Video Out jack 1 to the S Video In jack on the back of your TV.

Tips & Warnings
Do not turn on either of the devices before you've connected all the cables.
You may need to make some adjustments in the setup menu to obtain optimal sound.
Ensure the connectors are seated securely. Improper connections may cause humming or static noise.
