You can experience all of the advantages of digital photography through the Polaroid PDV-0823A 8-Inch Portable DVD Player. You can load photos saved in JPEG format and view them on the screen. Things You'll Need:

  • Polaroid PDV-0823A 8-Inch Portable DVD Player
  • Photos in JPEG format
  1. Step 1

    Load a CD containing JPEG picture files into the player to reveal the regular Playback menu and Picture Viewing screen.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the picture you want to view using the rotation feature after the screen pulls up the Menu display.

  3. Step 3

    Use the “Directional” button on the base of the DVD player to rotate the picture. This button points left, right, up and down.

  4. Step 4

    Press the “Left” button to invert the scale of the picture. This reverses the color information on the picture, making it look like a film negative.

  5. Step 5

    Press the “Right” button to see a mirror image of the picture.

  6. Step 6

    Press the “Up” button to flip the picture upward.

  7. Step 7

    Press the “Down” button to rotate the picture downward.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the files on the CD are JPEGs, as some photo CDs hold more than one type of file.
  • You cannot use the rotation function when more than one picture is displayed on the screen at one time.
  • Some JPEG discs cannot utilize the rotational or zoom features, depending on how the disc was created.
