How to Install a Mini Camera in a Home Security System
Mini cameras can be very helpful in a home security system, as they are small and can easily be hidden from view. Mini cameras are commonly used to monitor activities inside the home or office, like seeing what your babysitter or employees are doing while you are away. The installation process depends on whether the camera is wired or wireless. The steps are basically the same, but there is no need to connect wires to the camera or receiver, such as a TV, computer or video recorder, when using a wireless camera.

Tips & Warnings
If using a wired mini camera in your home security system, you may want to conceal the wires so that they can't be seen by those you want to survey. Wireless cameras can easily be hidden in plants. The lens is the only part of the camera that shouldn't be concealed.
