Telescopes allow you to get a better view of objects in the sky. You need to properly focus to get a sharp image of the object under view. Focusing a Sky-Watcher SK705AZ3 Refractor Telescope can be done in a few steps.

Instructions

Step 1

Locate the focus knobs on your Sky-Watcher telescope assembly.
Step 2

Gently turn the knobs, either way, with an eye on the object.
Step 3

Use a trial and error method to get the sharpest possible image. Know that you have successfully focused the object when you reach a point where the sharpness of the image decreases on turning the knob either clockwise or anticlockwise.
Step 4

Ensure that your telescope stays focused for a while.
Step 5

Repeat the activity whenever you change the lens or eyepiece.

Tips & Warnings

Focus your telescope often. Minute changes in the temperature and flexures can alter its focus.
Ensure that your Finderscope is aligned and your eyepiece is inserted properly before you begin focusing.
Avoid leaning on to the telescope while focusing. Doing so will disturb the balance of you telescope and you will need to re-adjust the tripod.
