The Sky-Watcher SK7059AZ3 Short Tube Refractor Telescope is considered an ideal choice to enjoy sky watching. This refractor telescope model is equipped with an adjustable objective lens case which is of a multi-coated achromatic type. For "prime focus" photography, you need to use a camera adapter tube that can be attached directly to your telescope. Here is how to use a camera adapter tube with your refractor telescope.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Handle all the telescope components with care, as they are fragile.

  2. Step 2

Begin by locating the T-threads on the eyepiece holder. The camera adapter tube has similar T-threads on it.

  3. Step 3

Take the camera adapter tube and carefully place it in such a way that the T-threads on the eyepiece and the T-threads on the camera adapter tube match easily.

  4. Step 4

Attach the specific T-adapter ring for your camera on the other side of the camera adapter tube. This junction allows you to connect your camera to the telescope. The telescope now functions as the new lens of your camera.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take care that the focal length is extended in case the refractors are designed to be used with diagonals while attaching a camera.
  • Loosen and tighten the screws only in daytime or at a place where there is enough light. This will ensure that you don’t loose any of the screws.
  • Make sure that you do not touch any optical surface while assembling your telescope. They can be tarnished.
  • Do not clean the lens or any optical surface unless you are familiar with or you know the correct treatment for that particular optical surface.
