Tips & Warnings
  • Try to assemble your telescope on a relatively even surface on the ground. Uneven surfaces will require more time to align the assembly.
  • Have patience while arranging the tripod. The rest of the assembly depends on the tripod positioning.
  • Note that the tripod legs may be at different lengths when the equatorial mount is level.
  • Check the stability of the tripod stand after completing the set up. Use the tripod clamps, and tray knob to ensure stability.
  • Make sure the tripod legs are evenly spread. Widening the spread increases the stability, but the more you need to bend or go low to observe after mounting the telescope.
  • Do not loosen the height adjustment clamp hastily.
  • Do not overtighten the clamp used for height adjustment to avoid being stuck up.
  • Avoid placing the tripod on slippery or greasy surfaces or on a loose-clayey soil. The telescope weight may make the tripod unstable.
