To use the Sky-Watcher SK707AZ2 Refractor Telescope with a camera, you need a camera adapter tube. It can work as a high magnification lens for your telescope. Attaching a camera adapter tube to a camera can be done in just a few minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find the eyepiece of your telescope. Locate the T-threads on the eyepiece holder.

  2. Step 2

Take the camera adapter tube and match the T-threads on the adapter with the T-threads on the eyepiece.

  3. Step 3

Rotate the camera adapter tube once you have matched the T-threads.

  4. Step 4

Attach the specific T-adapter ring for your camera on the other end of the camera adapter tube. This ring will allow you to attach your camera to the telescope. You can now use the telescope as a new lens for your camera.

Tips & Warnings
  • Find out if the refractor has a design such that a diagonal needs to be attached. If that is the case, then the focal length needs to be extended.
  • Loosen and tighten the screws only in daytime and where you have enough space. This will ensure that you don’t loose any of the screws.
  • Do not touch or clean the optical surface unless you are familiar with its correct treatment. Use special lens cleaning paper for the lens.
  • Do not touch any optical surface while attaching the camera adapter tube.
