How to Attach the Sky-Watcher SK707AZ2 Refractor Telescope to the Mount

The Sky-Watcher SK707AZ2 Refractor Telescope is considered a lightweight and sturdy model for viewing different objects. Mounting a telescope is the most important task of the assembly. Be sure that you follow these steps.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Locate the altitude control locking knob.

  2. Step 2

    Loosen the machine screw. The machine screw is located on the control locking knob.

  3. Step 3

    Find the hole on the side of the altitude control locking knob. Take the micro adjustable and insert it into the hole provided at the side of the knob.

  4. Step 4

    View the yoke mount. Slide the telescope into the slots provided at the end of the yoke mount.

  5. Step 5

    Use the yoke locking knobs provided on the yoke mount to secure the telescope tube onto the mount.

  6. Step 6

    Remove the machine screw provided on the telescope tube.

  7. Step 7

    Fasten the micro adjustable altitude control using the machine screw that you removed from the telescope tube.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that you do not overtighten the knobs on the yoke mount. This could create a problem when dismantling the assembly.
  • Take care to see that the screws are not interchanged or misplaced while working, as this will create a problem in the assembly.
  • Assemble the parts of your telescope in an area with adequate space and sufficient light. This will avoid the risk of losing small parts such as the thumbscrews.
