The Sky-Watcher SK909AZ3 refractor telescope is an ideal choice for those who take sky watching seriously. The telescope has a multi-coated achromatic objective lens, aluminum tube and is equipped with sun shade. A 6x30 Finderscope can be attached to the SK909AZ3 to enable the user to view the object(s) neatly and quickly. Inserting an eyepiece in this telescope can take only a few minutes.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Choose a proper eyepiece based on the magnification required. Choose a lens with higher magnification depending on the viewing distance.
Step2
Locate the thumbscrews on the focus tube. Loosen them to insert the diagonal. A 45 erect image diagonal is ideal for this purpose.
Step3
Tighten the screws back after inserting the diagonal so as to hold it in proper position.
Step4
View the thumbscrews on the diagonal. Loosen them for inserting the eyepiece.
Step5
Tighten the thumbscrews after inserting the required eyepiece in the diagonal so as to hold the eyepiece in place.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not overtighten the thumbscrews or they will loose the grooves.
  • Keep all the thumbscrews in place and do not interchange their position. This will ensure that the assembly is proper.
  • Loosen and tighten the screws only in daylight or at a place with enough light. Ensure that you don’t loose any of the screws.
  • Do not clean the lens or any optical surface unless you are familiar with or you know the correct treatment for that particular optical surface.
