When making an Access 2003 datasheet, there are going to be times when you need to change the order that the fields are arranged. Follow these simple steps to change the order of fields in an existing table in Access 2003. If this is a new Access 2003 datasheet, you may skip to Step 3.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer with Access 2003

Step1
Open Access 2003 on your computer. Under the “File” submenu, select “Open.”
Step2
Select your datasheet by choosing it in the pop-up menu.
Step3
Select the row that you would like to move by clicking the row selector. This is the box in the far left hand side of the row.
Step4
Drag the selected row up or down to its new location. As you move the row, a dark horizontal line will show you where it will be located when you release the mouse button.
Step5
Release the mouse button. All other rows will move down to make room for the relocated field.
