How to Locate a Proper Light Source for a Home-Security Camera

People often mount home-security cameras in areas without adequate lighting, making the resulting recordings unclear and nearly worthless

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Examine the light sources at the site you intend to place the security camera.
Step2
Choose a location. If your camera is black-and-white, place it in an area of low light. If your camera records in color, the options are broader and you can place the camera near a brighter light source.
Step3
Test the camera before mounting it. Hold the camera in the desired location and record someone moving around the area.
Step4
Review what you have recorded. If the lighting was adequate and the image clear, mount the camera. Otherwise, repeat Step 3 until satisfied.
