Step 1
Begin by installing the antenna based on the included instructions.

Step 2
Determine the ground system of your vehicle and install the transceiver based on those settings.

Step 3
Check the connections to the power source, the antenna and the microphone.

Step 4
Turn the ON/Volume knob clockwise until the power clicks on and stop turning when the volume is at a comfortable level.

on 5/30/2009 And if you don't understand what "Determine the ground system of your vehicle is" don't feel bad. Passenger vehicles in the US stopped using positive ground sometime in the early 60s.It might be a good idea to know what the power connections is. For most people get a power cord that plugs into a "power port" formerly known as a cigarette lighter plug. And then plug the radio in.I think you all know what an on/off switch is and how to work it. If not, what are you doing driving?
