Shopping in eBay Stores is a different experience from the typical auction-style sale on eBay. The vendors in eBay Stores are highly professional and respected sellers who deal in high volume. They offer many "Buy It Now" options and act more like a standard online vendor than one might expect. Here's how to shop this convenient, online marketplace.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

Sign up for eBay. You can search eBay and eBay Stores for an item, but you won’t be able to buy it until you’ve signed up for a free buyer’s account.

  2. Step 2

Go to the "eBay Stores" home page. From here, you’ll be able to browse any of a number of specialty stores, or search them all at once.

  3. Step 3

Check out specialty stores. There are stores specializing in textiles, electronics and other things. Choose a store and browse its inventory.

  4. Step 4

Perform a search for your item. Use the "Search" tool at the top left of the eBay Store home page to search for the item you’re looking for.

  5. Step 5

Broaden your search. If your item doesn’t come up in the results, try searching for a more general term—for example, use "road bike" instead of "Cannondale road bike."

  6. Step 6

Select an item. This will bring up more information about the item’s features and condition.

Tips & Warnings
  • It can be advantageous to buy from an eBay Store as; the site usually handles transactions professionally. The downside, of course, is that you don’t usually have the price alternatives that you might find at the auction-type sales.
  • The vendors at eBay Stores allow payment by credit card on their "Buy It Now" items, so if you don't want to use PayPal, the eBay Stores may be a sound alternative.
