      Open an Access 2003 table in "Design View."

      At the top of the window, click the field you've targeted for a new default value.

      At the bottom of the window, click on the "Default Value" box.

Tips & Warnings

  • Resetting a default value once you already have set data into a field will only affect data entered after the default is changed.
