How to Connect the Power Cord on the Uniden PC68LTW CB Radio

When you purchased your Uniden PC68LTW CB radio, you thought about everything–the right unit, the right antenna and the right installation. You're prepared to do SWR readings to get everything just right. Now there's only one more thing to do: connect the power cord. Here's how you do it.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Determine the position where you will install your Uniden PC68LTW CB radio and install the mounting brackets for your radio.

  2. Step 2

    Does your vehicle have a negative ground system? If so, connect the red power cord from your Uniden PC68LTW CB radio to the positive battery connection. Then, connect the black cable to either the negative battery terminal or to the vehicle chassis.

  3. Step 3

    If your vehicle has a positive ground system, connect the black power cord from your radio to the negative battery connection. Then connect the red cord to either the positive battery terminal or connection point or to the vehicle chassis.

  4. Step 4

    Once the power connections have been made, turn on the power to the Uniden PC68LTW CB radio.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a clean power source. Do not tap into the wiring that supplies power to another accessory on your vehicle. This will help to reduce interference.
