Want to make sure you're getting optimal signal strength? Adjust the squelch.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Uniden PC68 Elite CB radio
  1. Step 1

    Turn the squelch knob of the radio a full turn to the right to enable the stronger signals to get through.

  2. Step 2

    Turn the squelch knob counterclockwise until all you hear is a hiss over the speakers.

  3. Step 3

    Begin turning the squelch knob clockwise until the hissing sound stops.

Tips & Warnings
  • The Dynamic Squelch setting keeps the squelch set for stronger signals.
  • In order to scan for weaker signals, be sure to turn off the Dynamic Squelch Control.
  • Adjust the squelch settings only when a strong signal is not being received.
