Step 1
Open Microsoft Access 2003 on your computer.

From the File menu, click "New," then choose "Blank Database" (which is shown on the right-hand side).

A window appears, asking you to name and save your database. Move through the folders on your hard drive until you find the location you want to save the file in and type a name.

Click "Create." Your new database window will appear.

Step 5
Create the objects that will make up your database. These objects may include tables, forms, queries, macros or materials (such as charts) that can be linked to from another file.

Step 6
Save your new database before shutting down Access 2003.
