Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

Think about security when you register. Use a P.O. Box instead of your home address, provide your cell phone instead of your home number and set up a special bank account for your eBay use.

  2. Step 2

Choose a User ID that is not too revealing. Do not use your personal email address.

  3. Step 3

Make sure that you use an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) when paying with a credit card. Never give out your Social Security Number online.

  4. Step 4

Keep your password to yourself and never share it with others. Create a password that no one could guess.

  5. Step 5

Check the other user’s feedback to get an idea of the person you are dealing with.

Tips & Warnings
