1
Visit the eBay Web site.
-
2
Click on the "Sell" link, located at the top of eBay's homepage.
-
-
3
Pick the type of auction you want. The "Sell Your Item" page gives you three options. You can sell an item at online auction (this is the most common option), sell at a fixed price or advertise your real estate. Click on "Continue" when you have selected an option.
-
4
Select the category and the sub-category for the item you are selling. If there are further sub-categories, eBay will give you the option to choose among them. Be sure to pick a category in each list before you click "Continue."
-
5
Give some more information. The "Describe Your Item Page" is where you will provide a title and description of the item you are selling. When you're done, click "Continue."
-
6
Keep the details coming. The "Provide Pictures & Item Details" screen is where you give the specifics of the auction, from the duration and start time to the price of the item. Be specific and add a photo, if possible. Then click "Continue."
-
7
Get paid. The "Enter Payment & Shipping" page is where you will give the details on how the item will be paid for, the shipping charges and how it will be shipped. When finished, click "Continue."
-
8
Check your work. The "Review & Submit" page allows you to preview your listing before you are finished. If you are happy with the way things look, click "Submit Listing."
