Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Digital camera
  1. Step 1

Take a high-quality photo of the item you are selling on eBay. Make sure the lighting is good enough to show the item's condition.

  2. Step 2

Upload the photo to your computer. Check the instructions on your digital camera or scanner for proper procedures.

  3. Step 3

Find an online host for your picture. There are a number of places to get one, including your ISP, an image-hosting Web site, your personal server or eBay Picture Services. Upload an image to get an address for your photo.

  4. Step 4

Type the address of the picture in the "Picture URL" box on eBay's "Sell Your Item" form. Finish the rest of the “Sell Your Item” form and confirm the listing.

  5. Step 5

Check the eBay auction listing to ensure that the photo was properly added.

Tips & Warnings
  • Most of the big Internet Service Providers (ISPs) provide space to store pictures at no extra charge.
  • Make sure the picture is correctly sized. For the best results, keep the image to 300x300 pixels. The image will not fit if it is more than 480 pixels wide.
  • Image-hosting Web sites and eBay Picture Services charge a small fee to upload pictures to their sites.
