The mount is an important part of any operational telescope. The mount helps track the movement of the stars or any moving body in the sky. Two types of mounts are widely used—altitude-azimuth (or alt-az) and equatorial mounts. Equatorial mounts EQ1 and EQ2 are used for the Sky-Watcher SK8035TAEQ Tabletop Telescope. These mounts are portable and easy to use, which make them suitable for small telescopes. They are flexible enough to be moved in all directions, both alt-az (left and right) and vertical, making them appropriate for terrestrial viewing. These mounts make long observation easier. Here is the procedure to attach the tripod to the mounts.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Install the tripod legs by screwing them into the holes in the tripod base.
Step2
Screw the mount head onto the tripod.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don’t over-tighten the screw while attaching the mount, or the tripod may get damaged
