How to Create Permalinks to Blogger Posts

Permalinks are permanent links to your posts that are scannable, which means search engines can index them. If you want permalinks in your Blogger posts, follow these steps.

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet access
• Computer
• Blogger account

1. Open your favorite Web browser.
   
   
2. Log into your Blogger account.
   
   
3. Click on the "Posting" link in the middle of the screen.
   
   
4. Write your post.
   
   
5. Place   inside the post.
   
   
6. Place # in the footer of the post.
   
   
7. Save the post.

Tips & Warnings

• Standard Blogger templates already contain this functionality. You must add this only if you have created your own Blogger template.
• Adding HTML to your post can cause strange effects. Make sure to preview your posts and edit the HTML when necessary.
