How to Dim the Display on the Uniden PC78XL CB Radio

How brightly the display on your Uniden CB radio shines is a matter of your personal preference. You should adjust the brightness so that you can easily read information off the display. Here's how to do it.

Things You'll Need:

• Uniden PC78XL CB Radio

1. Make sure that the power source is connected correctly to your CB radio.
   
   

2. Make sure that the microphone is connected correctly to your CB radio.
   
   

3. Verify that the antenna is correctly attached to your CB radio.
   
   

4. Power on your Uniden CB radio.
   
   

5. Turn the volume to an appropriate level.
   
   

6. Be sure the "CB/PS" switch is on "CB."
   
   

7. Locate the "BRT/DIM" switch on the top middle of the front panel.
   
   

8. If you would like to decrease the brightness of the indicator, the "RF Signal" meter and the "LED Channel" display, turn the switch to "DIM."
   

Tips & Warnings

• It is best to use the "DIM" setting during daylight hours.
• In Step 5, do not turn the volume too loud. Damage to your hearing and your CB radio could result.
