How to Select a Weather Channel on a Uniden CB Radio

A Uniden CB can serve as your weather station, weather alert system and CB radio in one unit. The weather radio continuously broadcasts climate conditions while the weather alert system emits a signal lasting 7 seconds in weather emergencies.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Uniden CB Radio
Step1
Correctly attach the antenna to the CB radio.

Step2
Correctly attach the microphone to the CB radio.

Step3
Correctly attach the power source to the CB radio.

Step4
Turn the "On/Off/Volume" button to a comfortable listening level.

Step5
Locate the "CB/WX/PS" switch. It is located at the top of the front panel to the right of the "Function" meter.

Step6
Move the "CB/WX/PS" switch to the "WX" position.

Step7
Locate the "Weather Channel" knob on the bottom right of the front panel. It will be the second item from the right.

Step8
Rotate the "Weather Channel" knob until you locate the channel with the best reception.

Tips & Warnings

  • When you are finished listening to the weather, be sure to turn the "CB/WX/PS" switch back to the "CB" position.
  • In Step 4, do not turn the "Volume" knob to a very high position. Doing so could result in damage to your hearing as well as your CB radio.
