Hundreds of Valentine’s Day gifts may declare love, but rarely is it conveyed with as much conviction as an actual marriage proposal. Seize the day of love to pop the question!

From Quick Guide: Ways to Propose
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ribbon
  • Pen and paper to write proposal
  • Engagement ring
  • Cake plate
  • Glitter letters and glue
  • Ceramic lovebirds
  1. Step 1

Style a pair of ceramic lovebirds on a pedestal cake plate. (See Resources for sites where you can buy these items.)

  2. Step 2

Tie the written proposal (rolled up like a scroll, and secured with the engagement ring) to the neck of the birds.

  3. Step 3

Glue glitter letters spelling out "Marry Me" around the edge of the cake plate (Again, see Resources).

  4. Step 4

Bring your lover to the site at the right moment on February 14th.
