How to Install Track Lighting Fixtures

Track lighting is an easy way to change the look of any room. As long as the wiring is in place, installing track lighting is a breeze.

Things You'll Need:

• Screwdriver
• Track lighting fixtures

1. Install the track.
   
   

2. Connect the "Live In" component to the wiring based on the instructions in your track kit.
   
   

3. Twist the "Live In" component into place on the track.
   
   

4. Insert the base connections into the track and twist the lock into place.
   
   

5. Angle the fixtures based on where you need the light.

• Consult an associate at the store to determine what parts you will need to install your lighting: heads, tracks and connectors.
• Make sure that the track you buy is compatible with the fixtures you choose.
• If there is no existing light fixture in the room, hire an electrician to install an outlet box, switch and any necessary wiring.
