One of the easiest things to do is to focus your Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using the Meade 1209 Zero-Image Shift Microfocuser. It's as simple as pressing a button or two. Follow these steps to find out how to use the Zero-Image Shift Microfocuser.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Set up your telescope.
Step2
Attach the eyepiece you want to use for this viewing session.
Step3
Point the telescope to the celestial body of interest.
Step4
Set the drawtube so it will be extended about a quarter of an inch.
Step5
Press the "In/Out" keys to focus the telescope.
Step6
Press the "Speed" key if you want to adjust the focusing speed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Purchase a T adapter from Meade if you want to mount your camera directly to the telescope.
