Setting up the Cobra to operate in a home is an acceptable practice. Be sure to follow these guidelines to maintain safety and optimum performance:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Locate the transceiver's red and black leads.

  2. Step 2

Connect these red and black leads to the red and black terminals on the power pack (see note below on requirements for the power pack).

  3. Step 3

On the back of the CB Radio, locate the unit marked 'Power'. Plug the power cable into this unit, being careful to line up polarity markings.

  4. Step 4

Attach the appropriately installed and matched base station antenna.

Tips & Warnings
  • Before setting up your CB Radio at home, be sure that you have a 13.8 volt DC Power Pack that is rated at least two amps.
  • Also, be sure that the base station antenna is properly installed before beginning the set-up procedure.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, connect the transceiver directly to 120 vac.
